"Get URL" BBEdit/EasyView Extension
-----------------------------------
Version 1.1 of September 94
This extension comes in two flavors for the Internet fans.
One extension calls Anarchie to get a file or directory
listing from within BBEdit and Easy View.
Just place the insertion point on any URL that begins with
"ftp:" and choose the extension from the menu. As a bonus,
Anarchie will fetch directly from an Info-Mac mirror, when
the insertion point is on a file name that begins with
"/info-mac/", another good reason to read the digests with
Easy View.
If you need part of the URL, just select it first. Be sure
your selection contains "ftp:.../" (The final slash is
needed for a directory listing)
The other extension does the same with MacWeb. Any URL that
begins with "http:", "ftp:", or "gopher:" will be opened.
The latter has several shortcomings:
* MacWeb must be open when it is called
* A new window is opened for each call
* MacWeb remains in the background
